Alternatively there are many attractions in the area to suit all ages and tastes including The Big Sheep The Milky Way Tapeley Park Gardens Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington and many more. The larger towns of Bideford and Bude are a 20 minute drive offering an array of pubs shops and restaurants. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
